Circuit City Stores is asking some former employees to come back. The employees are part of a group of 3,400 employees fired earlier this year because they were experienced and earned too much money. The employees were replaced with lower-paid workers.

What a hoot.  Can’t have anything to do with Circuit City continuing to lose market share to its competitors.  Can’t have anything to do with the hit CC took to their company reputation.  Can’t have anything to do with Circuit City hitting a 52 week low in their stock price today.  Can’t have anything to do with an inability to take the company private… twice. 

I guess sometimes companies just do the right things.  Like firing their most experienced employees, the ones that form the relationships with customers who can buy their products from various sources.  Yea, that’s a job I’d want to go back to.
